Cuter than a Button...
Whoever coined the phrase, "cute as a button", I'd have to opine that it isn't quite enough to describe the cuteness and of a smiling, innocent, and sweet, little baby...

Little Brayden :)
Brayden was all smiles after his bath this morning. It was just too cute not to capture and share. :)

Of Flowers...
Flowers hold many valuable lessons worth consideration, but one of my favorites is that of the so often unheeded flower bed-our hearts.
Matthew 6:30 paints the picture of a God who is concerned with even the grass being beautiful!
Yet, he asks, “if God so clothe the grass of the field... shall he not much more clothe you?”
Our God is a lover of beauty and I can just imagine that a field full of flowers must cause him to smile...
Yet even more important and charming to him, is to see his children clothed in the beauty of his character.
Is there any reason to remain an unattractive and empty field when Jesus has an endless amount of flower seeds to sow in our hearts?

The Alcove
Alcove |ˈalˌkōv|: a recess, niche, or arbor typically nestled the wall of a room or of a garden. The dictionary definition alone makes it sound pleasant and inviting. I was thankful to be able to enjoy such a place the other day but the quiet peace and beauty I enjoyed there came not just from my surroundings but from the ultimate Creator of such abodes... the One who longs to be to us a restful alcove.

Baby on the Way!
This past week some friends held a baby shower for my sister. I enjoyed snapping some photos of the event... a celebration, in a way, of a miracle baby. God's way is always perfect and it is through trials that he often bestows on us the most beautiful gifts!

Woodsy Wonders
The woods were my playground growing up, now they are my escape for a quiet, peaceful abode. What better place to go and meditate on the greatness of God... treasuring memories of the past and pondering promises for the future?
